Series Aims
  • To understand that the birth of Jesus was prophesied hundreds of years before it occurred.
  • To teach that Jesus is the eternal king who came to rescue and restore God's people.
  • To teach that in heaven everything will be perfect because Jesus is the perfect king.

Series Overview
This series covers three prophecies in the book of Isaiah concerning the birth of the ultimate king from the line of David. He is the one who will rescue, restore and rule over God's people for all eternity. His birth is hinted at in chapter 7 and confirmed in chapter 9 where his nature and character are also described. The third prophecy in chapter 11 describes him as the Spirit-annointed king who is qualified and equipped to establish the perfect kingdom in which God's people will live in God's presence. These three Christmas prophecies force us to look beyond the baby in the manger to the final goal of all of human history where everything in all creation will be under the rule of Jesus Christ.
